THE TWO MOST BEAUTIFUL YACHTS
After two years spent on its restoration in « Les Charpentiers Réunis » at La Ciotat and put to the test with the 15 mJI the event in the 2009 classic yachts was called: Mariska. This Fife 1908, new member of the Nautical Society of Saint-Tropez, put to water again for this special occasion to meet its famous rival from early last century, Tuiga, flagship of the Monaco Yacht Club, celebrating its centenary in 2009.

10 years of sails, 100 years of yachting: Tuiga and Mariska.
The 2009 edition was an opportunity to shine the spotlight on Tuiga, one of the finest classical models, and one of the few 15 m JI designed by W. Fife and launched in1909. For the past 15 years, the flagship of the Monaco Yacht Club had relived the golden age of yachting in all major waters both French and international.
To reply to the challenge, the navigator Marc Pajot was at the helm of the most anticipated boat of the moment, surely the novelty of the year, the JI Mariska 15m (28m), also designed by Fife in 1908 which was returning to sea for the first time after two years of restoration.
